For the final week of God’s First Family, we come to one of the most difficult stories in Abraham and Isaac’s life: the journey to Mount Moriah. This is not an easy passage, and we will not pretend that it is. Instead, we will bring our questions, fears, and faith honestly before God as we consider what it means to trust when the way forward is unclear. Abraham and Isaac’s story reminds us that the promise of God often passes through places we would never choose, yet God does not to abandon the family God is forming. In the end, this is a story about provision: the God who sees, the God who stays near, and the God who provides life when we cannot see the way ourselves.
