1. What excites you about working at Hope?
Hope United Methodist Church is a generous community with an innovative and compassionate spirit. I am blessed to be a witness to the unfolding story of this faith community!

2. What Bible story or passage is the most meaningful to you and why?
The call of Jeremiah continually resonates with me. In Jeremiah 1:4-10 we hear Jeremiah object to God’s call upon his life saying, “Ah, Lord God! Truly I do not know how to speak, for I am only a boy.” And yet, God responds with a beautiful rebuttal telling Jeremiah, “Do not say, ‘I am only a boy’; for you shall go to all to whom I send you, and you shall speak whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord.” Then God puts out his hand and touches Jeremiah’s mouth; and says, “Now I have put my words in your mouth.” This story reminds me of the redemptive ways in which God works through me and fills me with a confidence that at the exact moment I run out of energy or skill or resources, God will put out his hand and lift me up to that place which I need to be.

3. Describe a moment or place when or where you felt God’s presence.
I am learning to see God in all things but I most reliably feel God’s love and grace when I look at the young woman my daughter is quickly becoming.

4. What do you like to do when you have an hour to yourself?

RUN! I love to run, walk, and go to yoga!
